Tracking & Ads
This notice explains how ads work in Dreamy Room, what "personalized" means, which choices you have and how to change them. It is part of our Privacy Policy.
1. Why there are ads
Dreamy Room is free to play. Ads help pay for the free version. If you prefer no ads, a parent can subscribe to Premium, which removes all ads. If we cannot confirm whether Premium is active (for example while offline), we show no ads rather than risk showing ads to a subscriber.
2. Where and when ads appear
- Never at app launch, on the age screen, during the tutorial, while you are decorating a room, on the subscription screen or in the Parent Area.
- Banner ads may appear at the bottom of the Home, Room Select, Collection and Gallery screens, away from buttons. They never appear in the room editor and are never shown to players aged 2–4. There is at most one ad on a screen.
- Full-screen ads are only shown at a natural break, after a room is finished and its rewards have been shown. A short "Ad break" card appears first so that nobody taps an ad by accident. By default there are none in the first 90 seconds of a session or before two rooms have been completed, at least 3 minutes between them, and no more than three per session.
- Rewarded ads are always optional: the player chooses to watch one in exchange for a small bonus that is shown in advance — double coins for a finished room, or a bonus sticker (once a day). They are only offered when the player's age range is known and is 8 or older, and nothing in the game requires watching them.
- Ads are always clearly recognisable as ads and are never disguised as game content. We do not use countdowns, guilt or other pressure to make anyone watch ads or buy Premium.
3. What "personalized" means
- Personalized ads are chosen using information collected about you over time and across other apps and websites — for example through your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Android advertising ID / AAID on Android) — to guess your interests.
- Non-personalized ads are chosen using context only: the app you are using, the general location derived from the IP address (for example country or city), the time and the type of device. Information may still be used to limit how often an ad is shown, to measure ads in aggregate and to prevent fraud, but not to build an interest profile.
4. Who sees what
| Player (from the age screen) | Ad treatment | Personalized? | Advertising identifier |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2–4, 5–7, 8–10, "Prefer not to say" or not answered | Child-directed treatment, G-rated content only, only ad sources certified for children's apps | Never | Not sent. On iOS we never ask for tracking permission. |
| 11–17 | Under-age treatment, G-rated content only, only ad sources certified for children's apps | Never | Not sent. On iOS we never ask for tracking permission. |
| 18+ | G-rated content (it is a family app) | Only if you agree | Used only with your consent (and, on iOS, Apple's tracking permission) |
| Premium subscriber | No ads | — | — |
For adults, personalized ads are off until the adult says yes — everywhere, not only where the law requires it. On iOS, personalized ads based on the advertising identifier additionally require Apple's tracking permission.
5. Your choices
Consent message (EEA, UK, Switzerland). Adults in these regions see Google's consent message (User Messaging Platform) before personalized ads can be shown. You can accept, reject or manage individual purposes. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and the game works the same either way.
Other regions (including Turkey). Adults see our own short consent screen ("Personalized ads?") once in the game before personalized ads can be shown. It has equally prominent "Don't personalize" and "Allow" choices; if you do nothing, ads stay non-personalized. Full text: Consent Texts.
Apple tracking permission (iOS, adults only). After allowing personalized ads (in the EEA/UK/Switzerland: after Google's consent message), adults may be asked once for permission to track via Apple's system dialog. Players under 18 or of unknown age are never asked. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
In the app. In Parent Area → Privacy, adults outside the EEA/UK/Switzerland can change their choice with the Personalized ads switch, and adults in those regions can reopen Google's consent form with Ad privacy choices. The Ads & Tracking link on the same screen opens this notice. Your choices are stored only on your device; they return to the default (non-personalized) when Delete data is used or the app is reinstalled.
On your device.
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.
- Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads (on some devices Settings → Google → Ads), where you can delete or reset your advertising ID.
Changing the age group. If the wrong age group was chosen, a parent can change it in Parent Area → Player. Moving to a younger group immediately switches off personalized ads and tracking for that profile.
6. Ad partners
| Partner | Serves ads to | Privacy information |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob (Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd.) | All non-Premium players, with the treatment in section 4 | How Google uses information from apps that use its services |
| Unity Ads (Unity Technologies) | Non-Premium players on Android, through AdMob mediation, with the same treatment as AdMob (section 4) | Unity Game Player and App User Privacy Policy |
Other ad networks (mediation): AdMob can let other ad networks bid to show an ad. For players of every age we only allow networks that are certified under Google Play's Families Self-Certified Ads SDK Program, and each of them receives the same child-directed, under-age or consent signals as AdMob. A network is added to the table above, with a link to its privacy policy, before it is switched on. Networks that are not certified for children's apps are never used in Dreamy Room.
7. Measurement
We see aggregated reports from AdMob (for example how many ads were shown and the revenue they generated). An "ad impression" event is also recorded in our analytics, without any advertising identifier or user ID, so that we can understand ad revenue per room played and keep ads from becoming too frequent.
We do not use attribution or "install tracking" SDKs, social media SDKs, data brokers or device fingerprinting.
8. Report an ad
If you see an ad that you think is inappropriate for a family game, please email a screenshot and the approximate time to support@denizsengul.com. We can block advertisers and ad categories in AdMob.
9. Our website
Our website uses no cookies, no browser storage, no analytics, no ads and no tracking technologies.
