Consent Texts

Version 2.0.0 Effective date: 6 October 2026

These are the short texts that the app shows before a parent (or an adult player) makes a choice. They are published here, together with an explanation of what they mean, so that you can read them at any time. Every choice can be changed later in the Parent Area, and saying "No" never blocks the game.

Dreamy Room has no accounts. Your choices, and which version of the notice was shown, are stored only on your device; we do not keep them on a server. This means that when Delete data is used, or the app is removed and installed again, all choices return to their default (most protective) values and are asked again where needed.

The parental gate (a short task titled "For grown-ups") protects purchases, the settings and privacy choices in the Parent Area, sharing, links that leave the app and notification permission for children.

1. First-launch notice

Keys: ui.welcome.* — shown once, after the age screen. For players under 18 or of unknown age, the title addresses grown-ups and the continue button is meant for the parent. The screen links to the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use.

Hello, grown-ups! (for adult players: Welcome to Dreamy Room!)

Dreamy Room keeps data to a minimum: no names, no photos, no location, no account. Progress is saved on this device. Free play shows child-safe ads; Premium removes them. You can read everything in our privacy policy.

Button: I understand, let's play (for adult players: Let's play!)

This screen is a notice, not a request for consent to process data. Only the version of the text that was shown is stored on the device; the screen is shown again when the texts change materially.

2. Notifications

2.1 Child and teenager profiles (ages 2–17 or unknown) — decided by the parent

Keys: ui.notif.softask_parent_title, ui.notif.softask_parent_body — shown after a room is finished; never in the first session, at most once a day, and not again for at least 30 days after "Not now".

Grown-ups: allow reminders?

Dreamy Room can send up to 4 gentle reminders a week (never 20:00–09:00). A grown-up decides; you can change this in the Parent Area.

Buttons: Yes, please · Not now

If "Yes, please" is chosen, the parental gate is shown first; nothing is allowed until the gate is passed. The device then shows the system permission dialog. Allowing reminders means:

2.2 Adult profiles (18+) — decided by the player

Keys: ui.notif.softask_title, ui.notif.softask_body — shown with the same timing rules as in 2.1.

Want a little reminder?

We'll send at most 4 friendly reminders a week, never at night, and now and then news or special offers. You can turn them off anytime.

Buttons: Yes, please · Not now

This is the explicit opt-in for promotional messages (special offers, including Premium offers) required by Apple's App Review Guideline 4.5.4. The opt-out is in Parent Area → Notifications; switching off removes the topic subscriptions and deletes the push token.

3. Personalized ads (adults 18+ only)

Never shown to profiles under 18 or of unknown age.

3.1 Outside the EEA, the UK and Switzerland (including Turkey)

Keys: ui.ads.personalize_* — shown once to adults. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google's consent message (User Messaging Platform) is shown instead.

Personalized ads?

The free version shows ads. If you agree, they may be chosen based on your interests; if not, you still see ads, just not personalized ones. You can change this anytime in the Parent Area.

Buttons (equally prominent): Don't personalize · Allow

"Allow" means: Google AdMob (including Unity Ads, which bids through AdMob on Android) may choose ads based on your activity in other apps and websites, using your device's advertising ID (IDFA on iOS, AAID on Android). With "Don't personalize", ads are chosen based only on the app and the general location derived from the IP address. You see the same number of ads either way. Doing nothing keeps ads non-personalized. The choice can be changed with the Parent Area → Privacy → Personalized ads switch. Learn more in Tracking & Ads.

3.2 Apple's tracking permission (iOS)

On iOS, Apple's system dialog ("Ask App Not to Track" / "Allow") is shown once, only to adults, and only after they chose "Allow" above (in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland: after Google's consent message). The app shows no screen that imitates this dialog and offers no reward for allowing it. If you do not allow it, ads stay non-personalized and the game works exactly the same. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

4. Anonymous usage statistics (analytics)

Key: ui.parent.analytics — the switch in Parent Area → Privacy.

Anonymous usage statistics (on / off)

While this switch is on, the app measures in aggregate how the game is used — for example which rooms are finished — with Google Analytics for Firebase. No name, email, user ID or advertising ID is used; details are in section 4.4 of the Privacy Policy.

5. Changing or withdrawing a choice

All choices can be changed at any time in the Parent Area: Privacy (analytics, personalized ads and, in the EEA/UK/Switzerland, "Ad privacy choices"), Notifications and Player (age group). Withdrawing consent stops the processing from then on; it does not affect what happened before. Changing a profile to a younger age group immediately switches off personalized ads, tracking and promotional notifications for that profile.
